Lipmonthly (January 2017)

This bag came through the post a lot quicker as compared to the December bag. To be frank, I was quite surprised to see the package in the mail. Haha – does that show my faith in the Aussie postal system?

This bag signifies the celebration of the new year and it shows from the get go – I mean the little bag that houses the goodies. While the last two bags I received were made from the plastic vinyl material, this January bag is made from cotton fabric.

So what’s included in this January’s bag?

Hola Neon Matte Liquid Lipstick in DF

Price: USD 17

This is a beautiful shade on me. The packaging reminds me of the Jouer liquid lipsticks. It’s a pinky brown shade that looks great for an everyday look on me. It is fairly long lasting (3-4 hours with light drinking and snacking) but it is like most liquid lipsticks on the market – it settles into the creases of your lip and around the 4 hour mark, crumbles and flakes off. Especially when eating. Once it starts to break down, this lipstick looks very patchy especially around the centre

Lord and Berry Crayon in Vogue

Price: USD 10

This pencil reminds me of the Bobbi Brown art stick. The difference is that the Bobbi Brown is a lot creamier as compared to the Lord & Berry product. Vogue is a deep berry shade and can be layered on for a truly vampy look.

Manna Kadar Priming Lipstick

Price: USD 21

This is my favourite of the bunch. I really love how this looks!! It’s literally my lips but better. It feels like a hydrating and moisturising lipstick. It has a velvet finish and doesn’t dry or flake off. It’s not a very long lasting lipstick, but I really like how it looks and feels.

Jelly Pong Pong Hydrating Lipgloss in Necessity

Price: USD 19.95

I know I’ve said this many times throughout my blog, but I’m not a big fan of lip gloss. Though, I love the name – Jelly Pong Pong. Something about it stirs the child in me and I giggle everytime I read it and I hear it in my head (and so the cycle repeats…).

This bag really impressed me. I know subscription boxes like these are a lucky dip when it comes to the products inside. It’s quite promising for next month’s bag. Don’t forget; if you want to subscribe to Lip Monthly, you can check out my referral link here to get 50% off from your first bag.

What are your thoughts on the January Bag? Would you subscribe to Lip Monthly?
