Eeek! I’m so excited right now I can hardly type coherently.
Colourpop has been on a roll recently with their discounts – between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, they even had one for international customers to purchase anything with free shipping at no minimum purchase.
In case you were wondering, Colourpop is an online only US cosmetics brand that is known for its highly pigmented products at an affordable price (USD 5 per product). They have an amazing range of shadows, lip products, highlighters…. you name it!
I really wanted to grab some stuff to try because of all the hype surrounding the brand so when the deal on free international shipping at no minimum cost came round, I jumped on board. Actually, I tried to jump on board, but then fell asleep while selecting stuff (it was 11pm) while doing so. Then when nature called at 3am, I noticed that my partner in crime Su (that enabler! haha love her) sent me a message asking what I was going to get. And then the lovely themadeupmaiden posted swatches of the products she had and it was the push I needed (well, not really needed, but you know what I mean) to get online.
And this was me, a zombie squinting at my phone under the covers at 3 in the morning selecting products off the internet to avail free international shipping. About a week or so later, I received my purchases. I KNOW! How quick was that?
What did I order? I decided to try something from each category – so I grabbed an eyeshadow, a lippie stix and an eyeliner.
Eyeshadow in Coconut. I have a thing for blue. I somehow don’t have too many items in the blue shade range, but I love the colour! Plus, look how shiny!
Lippie Stix in Chateau. This is a deep brown shade with a slight hint of red. I’ve been wanting to jump on the deep shaded lips. I just don’t have the voluminous lips to pull them off. But gosh darn it, at USD 5 a product, I was sure going to try!
Eyeliner in Mr. Bing. This is a Colourpop collab line with Youtube star Kathleen Lights. I love the story behind the name and I love Chandler Bing. So, I just had to buy it even though it’s a brown liner that probably will not show up on my skin tone haha.
These are the three things I purchased. In hindsight, I probably should have purchased a highlight too, but I think as a start, it is helpful with these three products.
