GRWM: Shimmer and Berry (16 Brand)

Hey everyone, I recently stumbled upon this brand when I was browsing around Mecca at Highpoint. I thought rather than doing the usual brand review, I’ll do a bit of a Get Ready With Me using the products I purchased. I’m still testing out

I’m using two brickit shadows for today’s look – Brown and Gray. I’m going for understated base with glitter (and who doesn’t love glitter?). I know these two are unconventional shades put together, but stay with me.

Brown is a silky, finely milled eyeshadow with a matte finish – perfect for a daytime look.
Gray is a creamy shadow with a shimmer that glides effortlessly onto the lids.

See how shimmery!

After priming the lids (using the one and only Put a Lid on It by The Balm), sweep the Brown shadow over the lids – this is the base shadow and also sets the primer on your lids.

Next is the fun part – Adding sparkles! Using fingers, pat the Gray shadow on to the centre of the lid. The shimmer elevates the eyes and I think is beautiful for a fun day look. You can intensify the shimmer either by patting on more layers of the Gray shadow on the lid or even using a damp brush to pack it on.

Curl the lashes and apply coats of mascara – my new favourite is the L’Oreal False Lash Sculpt Wings mascara.

I’m going with my new favourites – my Klara Reset Range (review coming soon – keep an eye out!). I started with the Reset Gel to exfoliate and clear up the skin. Follow this with Belle Botanicals face cream (I really LOVE this scent). Let the moisturiser sink in for a few minutes. I use the Klara Reset Flawless Primer to blur imperfections. Next, smooth a thin layer of foundation onto your skin. I’m using my Milani Conceal + Perfect foundation.

I’m going for a berry lip – my Bite lipstick in Red Velvet.

Finishing up

Next up, I’m going in for the Sixteen Draw Colour cheek paint in Burgundy. This is a cream product with a powder finish. The shade I’m using is a really deep shade, so instead of applying it directly to the cheeks, I’m first patting it on the back of my hand to soften the depth of colour. Then pat lightly using fingertips to give your cheeks a hint of colour.

Finally set the foundation with the Guerlain Terracotta Joli Teint Natural Health Glow powder (review here). This will help me control the shine on my oily t-zone.

Here’s the final look. What do you think?

Now, I’ve got some exciting news: I recently hit 1,000 followers on Instagram, and to celebrate, I’m hosting a giveaway for Aussie Residents. I’ve included a few of these sheet masks as well as some other awesomeness as prizes. Hit up my Instagram to check out the details of the giveaway including prizes. Here’s a bonus way to enter the giveaway: subscribe to my blog and leave a comment on this post including country of residence.
