Over the weekend, Mr Lubz wanted to buy some chinos from Connor in excitement for summer. While he was shopping, I decided to use the opportunity to power walk around the mall to get my Fitbit steps up.
I stopped in front of the L’Occitane store and decided to walk in and have a browse around. My knowledge of the L’Occitane brand was limited to knowing that it’s a French shop for skincare and they have wonderful body creams – that’s it. So in order to remedy that, I walked into the store.
Right off the bat, the store was so quaint. It had creams and lotions everywhere – hand, foot, body, hair… you name it, they had it. Not only that, the store even had stuff for men and perfumes too! The decor within the shop makes me picture what little stores in France would look like. I loved it!
A quick chat to the lovely sales assistant at the store revealed that the products use high quality essential oils and are made in France.
At the store, the hand creams caught my eye (I love my hand creams and always need to carry one in my handbag because they get dry and crack easily). I tried out the Shea butter cream and it had a faint scent of the Shea butter. Right next to it was the Rose scented hand cream.
Now, I’m not a huge fan of floral scented creams and lotions because my nose is quite sensitive to strong fragrances and the wrong scent can cause me to suffer a migraine.
This handcream however….WOW! It smelled of real roses! Not the fake migraine inducing stuff. This smelled pure and unadulterated. So much so that I couldn’t resist buying it.
I did buy the travel sized cream because this was my very first purchase from the brand and I wanted to test it out on my skin first before I committed to the full sized product.
The lovely sales assistant also gave me some sample sachets of the shampoo, mask and hair oil from the repairing range. I will test these out and review them on another blog post.
Have you purchased from the L’Occitane range? What’s your favorite product from the brand?
