It’s that time of the month again – my February Lipmonthly bag is here! I received this bag at the end of February. You can see that the company has revamped the bag and it’s contents. What’s included in the bag?
This is a brand available in Priceline. I’ve never actually used this one before, but it looks quite promising. This is a nice light pink shade, which would translate as a nude for people with lighter skin tones.
Sugar Lip Crayon
This is another colour similar to the Lord & Berry product from January’s bag. While the Lord & Berry is a smaller product, this one is a fuller sized crayon. It feels creamier on application. I like using these sort of lip products because it doubles up as a lip liner and a lipstick.
Cosmoholic Lip Gloss in
You know my feelings on lip gloss, but OMG, check out that metallic sheen! It’s literally a golden foiled gloss! I can see it work beautifully over a nude lip colour and lending a beautiful wash over the top of a vampy shade of lipstick.
Cargo Eyeshadow in Cyprus
This is a surprise inclusion in the bag. The eyeshadow is chocolate bronze shade and looks amazing when I swatched it on my hand. It feels creamy and is super pigmented on application. I was devastated that it came in all smashed up. It’s still useable, but I would have loved to see a pristine shadow in the tin. But you know what, now I get to try the Pinterest hack on how to salvage broken shadows.
While some of the bags from 2016 were a hit and miss, the bags from 2017 are showing a lot of promise. It almost makes me sad to have to say goodbye. I did sign on for a 4-month subscription and I want to see what other beauty subscriptions are out there in the market. I have accumulated way too many lip products that I can shake a stick at. So, for now, I will not be renewing my subscription to Lipmonthly.
What was your favourite part of the February bag for Lipmonthly? Would you sign on to this beauty subscription box? Is there such a thing as having too many lip products?
